TBSN #3 - How to Stay Focused
Doing new things, bringing some changes in your studying/working style helps you stay focused and learn new things.
Namaste!
Welcome to “The Bright Student Newsletter #3”.
There are times when I don’t feel like reading or writing at all.
And, I’m quite sure it happens with you too, sometimes.
Is it bad?
No, not at all — according to me, at least.
Let me explain:
We millennials love “change”.
Agree or not, our attention span is getting shorter; most of us can’t spend a whole lot of time doing the same thing — we need “change”.
The “change” brings excitement in life.
Remember the excitement on the first day of your current class in school or when you get a new phone — it’s different.
Bring “changes” in your life!
Have you ever thought about what would happen if your school starts teaching a single subject the whole day?
For example, only Maths on Monday, only Science on Tuesday, and only Grammar on Thursday, etc. You will get bored of studying Maths or Science the whole day, right?
In order to avoid losing interest in something, you will have to keep it changing, constantly.
Let me share my story of what I do when I don’t feel like working:
I keep changing the position of my working table in the room. And, I have recently placed it near the window. Also, using an external monitor for a few days and it feels awesome. 😍
Earlier, I was using the Windows 10 operating system on my main laptop, but I have recently started using the Linux operating system. And, it feels refreshing to have my laptop changed.
When I feel bored after working on an article the whole day, I start watching some cool internet-related tips-tricks videos, and it feels kind of refreshing.
If I get tired of eating the same kinds of food for days, I learn some new recipes from YouTube (probably, you are doing this already 😄).
You get the idea, right?
Just keep changing your studying habits, your surroundings, keep trying new things — and, life will seem more interesting.
📄Recommended: What, when, how, and why to CHANGE? Why is it important?
Making internal changes help you stay focused and external changes shape you as per the different circumstances.
Charles Darwin once said, “it is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change”.
Yes, what do you think about the Dinosaurs; why did they become extinct?
Because they were not so well responsive to climate change.
Now, all I will say is — make changes & stay focused.
That’s it.
