Welcome to “The Bright Student Newsletter”.
Does the word “exam” gives you anxiety? Yes, most students freak out when they hear that the dates for a particular exam have been announced.
Here’re some quick tips to stay calm and perform well in exams:
1. Positive attitude
Attitude is everything.
If you keep thinking the negative way, you will not receive any help from your subconscious mind.
Having a positive attitude and thinking is a must.
2. Begin early
No, do not keep things for the last date.
That way, you won’t have proper time to study and revise the important parts of the syllabus.
Starting early gives you confidence and helps you maintain a positive attitude.
3. Short goals
Categorize your subjects and create mini-goals to achieve each day.
You can reward yourself with some screen time or a bar of chocolate after you finish the daily goal.
Creating and achieving mini-goals are easier and more fun.
4. Organized study materials
If you are not feeling like studying then you can utilize the time to organize the notes and other study materials.
So that when you start studying, you have all the materials you need to complete your mini-goals.
5. Create your study materials
Sometimes, memorizing things become difficult.
And, creating quizzes and flashcards can really speed up the remembering game. You can also follow some active recall strategies to help yourself never forget a thing.
6. Use technology
Today, the information about almost everything is available for completely free — you just have to be good at Googling things.
You can use techs like YouTube, Quizlet, free mock tests, Khan Academy, etc. resources to learn about any topic for free.
7. Healthy food
A healthy mind resides in a healthy body.
Eating healthy foods helps you stay fit and energetic so that you can focus on exam preparation.
Also, do not eat too much or too little.
8. Sleep
Staying up all night and studying is not a good practice.
Make sure you’re taking enough sleep of at least 6-7 hours every day. It’s is very important for your well-being.
You will keep losing focus if you do not get enough rest.
That’s it.
Hope it helps you in the coming exam sessions.
Thank you.
