TBSN #1 - Boosting productivity as a student
Being productive saves time and you can utilize that time to learn something new and be a better student.
Namaste!
Welcome to “The Bright Student Newsletter #1”.
Huge pressure from the schools and colleges kills your creativity, and slowly it becomes uninteresting.
Why is that?
Due to lack of time, you do not find any time to learn something new and better; and that’s the main problem. You constantly need to explore new and interesting things about your field to stay interested in it.
You will enrich your life immeasurably if you approach it with a sense of wonder and discovery, and always challenge yourself to try new things.
— Nate Berkus
And, you will learn new things only if you save some time from your daily routine; and you can save some time only if you’re highly productive — it’s all related.
Here, I am going to share some tips that will help you be productive:
1. Set deadlines
Break down your tasks into sub-tasks and assign a deadline for each sub-task. Do anything to complete the task on time, and it will help you compete with yourself.
After you use this strategy, you won’t be waiting till the last time to submit your assignment or to complete your school’s homework.
2. Track your time
It’s difficult but very important that you track your time. Like how much time it’s going to take to complete your assignment, etc.
You can use any time tracking apps on your smartphone for this.
At first, it will seem like a tough job to do, but once you get along, you will have an idea about everything you do that how much time this task is gonna take.
3. Get enough sleep
Staying up late at night and from early morning getting ready and going to school is not a healthy lifestyle. As a student, you need to take a sound sleep of at least 7 hours. When you take enough sleep, it keeps you focused and sharp.
4. Eat healthy foods
Junk foods are real junk. They are not nutritious.
As a student, you need to have nutritious foods in your daily lifestyle because a healthy diet is your brain’s best friend.
5. Plan in advance
Whether it’s planning for the chapters that you’re gonna study, or for the weekend trips with your friends; planning everything in advance using a calendar or a diary is always a good practice to adapt.
6. Write diaries or journals
Diary writing has always been a very good practice. Most of the notable person used to write diaries.
Putting your thoughts on paper helps you speak your mind out and it takes you out of any stress or depression that you might have. It makes you feel free.
If you’re not sure what should you write about then you can use various journal prompts to help you out.
Not only this, but there are also multiple other benefits of diary writing such as improved writing skills, helps brainstorm ideas, helps set and achieve goals, and what not!
