ā What should be your future plan?
As a student, your future can be unpredictable. You might not know what you want to do for the rest of your life. You might not know how to do it, or even where to start. But hereās something for you to help with.
In one line, always have a long-term goal and then work consistently towards it without stressing yourself. What we mean is, it doesnāt matter where you will be in the next 3-4 years; the important thing is where you can reach in the next 10-15 years.
We recommend reading this article by Paul Graham that helps you think for yourself
š How Pomodoro techniques can improve your productivity
Pomodoro technique. This technique has been used by millions of people to boost their productivity and work toward a better life.
The method works by breaking down large tasks into small, manageable chunks of time. Each chunk is called a āPomodoro,ā or a ātomato.ā To get started, all you need is a timer and something to do for 25 minutes straight.
First, set your timer for 25 minutes and work on whatever tasks you have for today. Try your hardest to stay focused on the task at hand for that entire time period! When your timer dings, take an immediate 5-minute break from the task at hand. During this break, you can continue working or start doing something else!
Read about the Pomodoro technique in detail
š ļø Tools recommendation: Google Keep
Google Keep is a note-taking application that allows for quick writing, easy search and organization, and a wide variety of uses. Whether you're an undergraduate student who has a big project due soon or someone trying to remember where you put your keys, this nifty little app can help you get your thoughts down on paper.
Most probably, the app is already installed on your Android smartphone.
š Book recommendation: You Can Win (Shiv Khera)
In the book āYou Can Winā, Mr. Khera talks about the way our minds work and how we think, and how critical it is to know how our minds work in order to achieve success in life. He also talks about how our thoughts influence our actions and ultimately our lives.
Hereās a popular quote from the book:
If you think you can - you can! If you think you can not - you can not! And either way........you are right!
š¬ Movie recommendation: The Imitation Game
The Imitation Game is a 2014 film about mathematician Alan Turing and his team of codebreakers who crack the Enigma code during World War II.
This movie is fantastic for students to watch because it shows how two people working together can accomplish anything. It also shows how a person can become a hero, even when theyāre not sure how to be one.
It will inspire you to try many new things, because if you fail, there are always people who will fall in love with your idea, no matter what it is. You might just change the world.
